Plotten mit Matplotlib in Python 3 Pylab: Tkinter- und Qt FontManager-Fehler

Ich versuche, pylab (d. H. $ ipython3 --pylab) in Python 3 unter Ubuntu 14.04 zu verwenden. Ich stoße auf denselben Fehler, unabhängig davon, ob ich das Tkinter- oder das Qt4-Backend verwende.

AttributeError: 'FontManager' object has no attribute 'ttf_lookup_cache'

Dieselbe grundlegende Plot-Routine (plt.plot([1,2,3,4])) funktioniert jedoch im Python 2-Pylab.

Ich habe meines Wissens nach die erforderlichen Abhängigkeiten installiert (Anmerkung, sowohl für Python 2 als auch Python 3):

In beiden Fällen wird das Plotfenster angezeigt. Im Fall von Tkinter ist der Plot leer (leer), aber mit Qt4 sehe ich das richtige Ergebnis - und der Fehler wird immer noch ausgelöst. Auch dies funktioniert problemlos mit jedem Backend in Python 2.7. Was fehle ich?

Ich konnte dieses Problem beheben, indem ich meinen matplotlib-Schriftartcache entfernte (sowohl den Python 3- als auch den Python 2-Schriftartcache), z.

rm /home/arthur/.cache/matplotlib/fontList*.cache

Ich kann jetzt alle anderen folgenden Umgebungsinitialisierungen ohne Fehler verwenden:
